Ode to My Face (by Jared Jones)
Soooo... tonight Jared isn't around. Turns out he is having a man-over (a guys night sleepover) with some good old fashioned mission friends. So while he is gone, I have decided to put my first post on our blog and also give the blog a makeover/face-lift.
First of all, lets do a quick re-cap of whats been going on for the past little bit. Our nephews came down and visited for a while and they played baseball with Jared outside. We only had two baseball gloves, soooo one of them is using a pink bike helmet... :) He didn't seem to mind or even notice that he didn't have a glove.
Then, this past week at school, I didn't feel like writing a paper that I had due. I jokingly said to Jared, "Hey, do you wanna write my paper for me?" He said, "Sure, how long does it have to be?" I told him ten pages. He asked what it was about and I said, "your face." As I am sure most people know, Jared and I say a lot of "your mom" jokes, which turned into your face, or your moms face, etc. Anyway, this discussion led to Jared writing the following words in large font over 10 pages of paper.
And now I give you, Ode to My Face (by Jared Jones, title by Ashley Jones):
My face is
large, but my wife Ashley likes it. Sometimes there are little tiny hairs that
grom out of it and I have to cut them off. It has two eyes, one nose, one
mouth, two horns, and two eyebrows. I lied about the horns. The end
So that was an interesting day in the office, but my coworkers liked this and agreed that it should go on our family blog.
A day or so later, Jared decided to explain some things about dating to a girl in my office who needed some guy advice. Everybody in our office always talks to her about her love life because the rest of us are married and boring now. Anyway, here are some pictures of Jared trying to explain the nervousness to relationship stage graph...
What this means exactly? Not sure. He had no nervousness at first for marriage, but then I asked him if he was sure about that, and he drew the line going up. Anyway, that's it for now. I hope Jared is enjoying his fun boys night as I post goofy and/or embarrassing stories about him :)
Love you Jared!!!
